Literacy Builders

Get a Quick Quote! Most of the reading problems faced by today's adolescents and adults are the result of problems that might have been avoided or resolved in their early childhood years. In this activity, participants work in teams to help provide an environment that fosters motivation for and exposure to literacy by building and stocking bookshelves that will be donated to a school in the local community where your meeting/event takes place!

During this two-hour activity, teams are tasked with completing different literary-themed challenges (Human Scrabble, Book Race, Character Match and more!) designed to earn teams the items necessary to build a bookshelf. Teams are racing against the clock to complete their tasks and to build a high quality bookshelf for local children in need of a better library and literacy-encouraging environment.

An additional challenge clients can take on is a "Book Drive" which results in a donation of books to fill the assembled bookshelves. This can be billed as a competition, or simply a company-wide effort for the good of the community. Impact 4 Good partners with local schools at the site of your event to donate the bookshelves. At the end of the activity, a representative from the benefitting school can be present to accept the donation and thank the group for their teamwork in completing these wonderful bookshelves that will be put to great use for years to come!
